Spring Vault 2.1 M1 available now

On behalf of the community, I'm pleased to announce the availability of the first Spring Vault 2.1 milestone. This release ships with 47 tickets fixed and the highlights of this first milestone include:

  • Support for Google Cloud Compute and Google Cloud IAM authentication mechanism support.
  • Integration of Vault's versioned Key-Value backend through VaultKeyValueOperations
  • Template API for Vault's wrapping endpoints.
  • Support of full pull mode in reactive AppRole authentication. The limitation of previous versions has been lifted now.
  • Improved Exception hierarchy for Vault login failures.

This release is compatible with Vault versions from 0.5.2 up to 0.10.3

Spring Data Ingalls SR14 and Kay SR9 released

On behalf of the Spring Data team, I'd like to announce the availability of the Ingalls SR14 and Kay SR9 release. Kay SR9 ships on top of the just-released Spring Framework 5.0.8. Spring Boot 2.0.4 is going to pick up Kay SR9 for your convenience. Ingalls SR14 will be picked up by Spring Boot 1.5.15. Both releases ship with mostly bugfixes and a few dependency upgrades.

Ingalls SR14 ships with 28 tickets fixed and Kay SR9 contains 59 tickets fixed.

Spring Data Lovelace RC1 available

On behalf of the Spring Data team, it is my pleasure to announce the availability of the Lovelace RC1 release. The first release candidate ships on top of the just-released Spring Framework 5.1 RC1 and in preparation of the upcoming Spring Boot 2.1 M1 release.

This release candidate ships with 194 tickets fixed and contains the following notable changes:

  • Support for immutable objects.
  • Upgrade of Querydsl for MongoDB to use the Document API, letting you publish lifecycle events and participation in managed transactions.
  • Reactive Slice query support for Apache Cassandra.
  • Kotlin extension for Apache Cassandra.
  • Reactive SCAN support for Redis.

Spring Data Ingalls SR13 and Kay SR8 released

On behalf of the Spring Data team, I'd like to announce the availability of the Ingalls SR13 and Kay SR8 service releases. The Ingalls service release ships on top of the just-released Spring Framework 4.3.18 and in preparation of the upcoming Spring Boot 1.5.14 release. The Kay service release picks up Spring Framework 5.0.7 and will be picked up by Spring Boot 2.0.3, for your convenience.

On behalf of the Spring Data team, I'd like to announce the availability of the Ingalls SR12 and Kay SR7 service releases. Both releases pick up the just-released Spring Framework versions 4.3.17 and 5.0.6, respectively. The upcoming Spring Boot 1.5.13 will pick up Ingalls SR12, and Spring Boot 2.0.2 picks up Kay SR7 for your convenience.

Spring Data Lovelace M2 released

On behalf of the Spring Data team, I’d like to announce the availability of the second milestone of the Lovelace release train.

This release ships with updates for all store modules that contain new features, improvements, and bug fixes. Notable changes include:

  • MongoDB 3.6 support for Change Streams, $jsonSchema, and Client Sessions (in preparation for MongoDB Transactions).
  • Apache Cassandra mapping improvements for Map and Tuple Types, along with newly introduced Lifecycle Callbacks.
  • Upgrade to Apache Solr 7.
  • Improved Connection Handling for reactive Redis and static Master/Slave use.
  • SCAN support for Redis Cluster.
  • List support for Spring Data JDBC.
  • Composable repositories support via CDI.

Multiple CVE reports published for Spring Data

Last week, we released Spring Data Ingalls SR11 and Kay SR, which include fixes for the following vulnerabilities:

Spring Boot 1.5.11 (superseded by 1.5.12 due to CVE-2018-1275) and 2.0.1 already pull in the above Spring Data versions, including the fixes that were released last week, and are now also available for use.

Please review the information in the CVE reports and upgrade immediately.

Spring Vault 1.1.2 and 2.0.1 released

On behalf of the community, I’d like to announce the availability of Spring Vault service releases 1.1.2 and 2.0.1, available from Maven Central.

Both releases primarily deliver bug fixes and dependency version updates along with some minor improvements.
