Spring AMQP 4.1.0 Milestone 1 Available

Hi Spring fans!

It is my pleasure today to share with you the start for Spring AMQP minor version and its 4.1.0-M1 is available with some new fature to try.

The new spring-amqp-client module has been added to provide Spring-friendly components for AMQP 1.0 protocol intraction. It is based on the ProtonJ 2 Client library and exposes an API based on well-known spring-amqp core module foundation. It does not have any RabbitMQ-related dependencies, but can work well with RabbitMQ broker with some destination address adjustments. The infrastructure of spring-amqp-client is represented by the AmqpConnectionFactory abstraction with a SingleAmqpConnectionFactory as implementation to share the same ProtonJ connection between consumers and producers. Spring for Apache Pulsar 1.2.14 and 2.0.2 are now available

On behalf of the team and everyone who has contributed, I’m happy to announce that Spring for Apache Pulsar 1.2.14 and 2.0.2 have been released and are now available from Maven Central.

The 1.2.14 release will be included in the upcoming Spring Boot 3.5.10 releases. The 2.0.2 release will be included in the upcoming Spring Boot 4.0.2 release.

Spring Data 2025.1.2 & 2025.0.8 released

On behalf of the team and everyone who has contributed, I’m pleased to announce the availability of the 2025.1.2 and 2025.0.8 service releases. These releases ship with dependency upgrades, minor AOT and performance refinements as well as bug fixes.

The upcoming Spring Boot releases will pick up the above releases by next week.

Spring Framework 7.0.3 Available Now

On behalf of the team and everyone who has contributed, I am pleased to announce that Spring Framework 7.0.3 is available now.

Spring Framework 7.0.3 ships with 65 fixes and documentation improvements. This version will be shipped next week with Spring Boot 4.0.2.

This release brings a noteworthy change - Spring Framework will now lazily pause an unused test ApplicationContext the 1st time a different context is used. You can override this behavior by setting the spring.test.context.cache.pause property to ALWAYS, or disable pausing altogether by setting that to NEVER. Spring Modulith 2.0.1, 1.4.6, and 1.3.12 released

Spring Modulith Christmas came early this year and I am happy to announce the release of Spring Modulith 2.0.1, 1.4.6, and 1.3.12. The releases contain the usual platform upgrades around Spring Boot and Framework. On top of that, we ship the following improvements and bug fixes:

  • Allow resetting the shift in TimeMachine (2.0.1 – #1491)
  • @ApplicationModuleTest does not bootstrap beans from test configuration (2.0.1 – #1495, 1.4.6 – #1494),
  • CGLib proxy created for JdbcEventPublicationRepositoryV2causing issues in native image (2.0.1 – #1493)
  • ClassNotFoundException for package-info from JavaPackage during runtime bootstrap (2.0.1 – #1487)

What's new?

This first release candidate comes with feature alignment with the previous generation as well as several improvements and bug fixes.

Major changes include:

  • Support for debug mode
  • Support for command completion and custom completion providers
  • Support for hidden commands
  • Support for command option validation with the Bean Validation API
  • Support for exception mapping

What's next?

Our plan for now is to make this release candidate as stable as possible in preparation for Spring Shell 4.0
